SHIPPING RATES AND POLICY - JOERIAKNITS

We're excited to send your JOERIAKNITS goodies on their way! Here's everything you need to know about how we ship.

Processing Time

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Once your order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with any available tracking information.

Our Shipping Carriers

We ship with Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, and UPS. Canada Post is our primary carrier for most orders. The carriers and service levels available to you will be shown at checkout based on your location and order size — you choose what works best for you.

Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated in real time at checkout based on your address and order weight.

Canadian Shipping 🇨🇦

Shipping options are based on your order total:

       Orders under $20: Flat rate $7 via Canada Post Regular Mail — no tracking. Delivery typically 7–15 business days. Note: Some bulky items may not qualify for flat rate shipping.

       Orders $20 and over: Multiple tracked options at checkout via Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, or UPS. Delivery typically 3–10 business days depending on carrier and service selected.

       Orders over $100: ✨ FREE standard tracked shipping (before tax) — applied automatically at checkout.

⚠️  Important — orders shipped without tracking (under $20):

Canada Post Regular Mail does not include tracking. Once your order has been dispatched, JOERIAKNITS cannot be responsible for parcels lost in transit without proof of tracking. For peace of mind, we recommend selecting a tracked option at checkout — even for smaller orders.

Shipping costs are always calculated and displayed at checkout. If you have any special shipping requests, feel free to leave them in the order comments.

Estimated Delivery Times

The following estimates apply to tracked services:

       Ontario & Quebec: 2–5 business days

       Western Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB): 4–8 business days

       Atlantic Canada (NS, NB, NL, PEI): 4–8 business days

       Northern Canada (YT, NT, NU): 7–15 business days — remote surcharges may apply

       All regions — untracked (orders under $20): 7–15 business days — delivery cannot be guaranteed

📌  Delivery times may be longer during holiday seasons, carrier disruptions, or for remote and rural locations. We will do our best to notify you of any known delays.

Lost or Damaged Packages

We want every order to arrive safely. Here is what to do if something goes wrong:

       Tracked orders — not arrived: If your tracked order has not arrived within 5 business days of the estimated delivery date, please contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier on your behalf.

       Damaged on arrival: If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. We will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

       Untracked orders — not arrived: We are unable to take responsibility for Regular Mail parcels (orders under $20) lost in transit, as this service does not include tracking or insurance. We strongly recommend upgrading to a tracked option at checkout.

Shipping Insurance

Tracked domestic orders via Canada Post include $100 CAD insurance against loss or damage. Coverage on courier shipments (Purolator, FedEx, UPS) varies by carrier and service level — the included coverage will be noted at checkout.

To make a claim:

       Contact us within 10 business days of the estimated delivery date for lost parcels, or within 5 days of delivery for damaged items.

       We will initiate an investigation with the carrier on your behalf. Investigation timelines vary by carrier.

       Once a claim is approved, we will issue a replacement or refund promptly.

Shipping Address

Please double-check your shipping address carefully before completing your order. JOERIAKNITS is not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided at checkout. If you notice an error after placing your order, contact us immediately — we'll do our best to update it before dispatch.

Undeliverable & Returned Packages

If a carrier is unable to deliver your order, and it is returned to us, we will contact you by email. You will have the option to:

       Pay for re-shipment at the applicable shipping rate, or

       Receive a refund for the item(s), minus the original shipping cost.

📌  The cost of return shipping may be deducted from your refund if the parcel is returned to us by the carrier.
